OCALA, Fla. (October 13, 2014) – The Coates Golf Championship presented by R+L Carriers is planned for January 26 – January 31, 2015 as the LPGA Tour’s 2015 season opening event, and is seeking volunteers to support the inaugural tournament.
The event, which will be held at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club, will need approximately 700 volunteers to assist in varying aspects of the tournament. Whether you’re working with admissions or lending a hand to hospitality, your volunteer efforts will be invaluable to this exciting new event.
“We have been overwhelmed with the amount of support the community has already shown to us. Anyone interested in seeing the behind the scenes action of the tournament and receive the chance to watch the world’s top female golfers is encouraged to register to volunteer,” said Lenny Francoeur, Tournament Director of the Coates Golf Championship presented by R+L Carriers. “The volunteers are the heart and soul of the event. Whether you’re an avid golf fan or simply looking to get involved in a major community event, there is a volunteer committee for you.”
The volunteer fee is $40 and includes two official tournament golf shirts, one official tournament jacket, one official tournament hat or a Coates Golf branded visor, one volunteer badge, four weekly ground badges, meals provided on scheduled work days, one volunteer appreciation party invitation, and an opportunity to play a round of golf at the Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club.

The Coates Golf Championship presented by R+L Carriers will boast a 120 player field with 72 holes of stroke play over four days of competition and a $1.5 million purse. The event will be played Wednesday, January 28 through January 31, with an early finish due to the Super Bowl taking place on Sunday, Feburary 1.
