The LPGA’s best will return to Central Florida February 1 – 6 for the second edition of the Coates Golf Championship Presented by R + L Carriers. More than 80,000 spectators visited Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club for the inaugural event, where Na Yeon Choi earned her ninth-career LPGA victory and Lydia Ko, then just 17 years old, ascended to No. 1 on the Rolex Rankings. The tournament also boasted an $18.4 million economic impact to the local community.
Ticket packages for the Coates Golf Championship, which will mark the first opportunity in 2016 to see the world’s best female golfers in the LPGA tee it up in the United States, will be available for online purchase beginning Saturday, October 24. Single day grounds tickets are $15, weekly grounds tickets are $45 and children 12 and under receive free admission with a ticketed adult. The LPGA event is one of the few professional sports venues where you can stand yards away from the world’s greatest in the game for tickets that start at $15.
New for 2016, the Coates Golf Championship will feature a Craft Beer Garden Wednesday through Saturday of tournament week. Along with admission to the craft beer garden and a traditional sampling glass, the upgraded craft ticket includes admission to the LPGA event. Staged in the expansive and beautiful garden leading up to the Golden Ocala clubhouse, this craft beer festival will offer patrons the opportunity to sample and discover a myriad of local and regional craft brands.
Single day tickets to the Coates Golf Championship that include the Craft Beer Garden are $25 and weekly passes to the tournament and garden are $65. A limited quantity of tickets will be sold for this festival within the tournament. Tickets can be purchased at www.CoatesGolfChampionship.com .
